There was no love lost Sunday, and little room between the markers, as the Marauders and Gryphons renewed their rivalry at Ron Joyce Stadium in an OUA quarterfinal.

HAMILTON (October 28, 2017) - The No. 7 McMaster Marauders outlasted the Queen's Gaels for a 12-9 OUA quarterfinal football win Saturday at Ron Joyce Stadium.

McMaster fans had enjoyed 15 matches, and over a full calendar year, since their team's last loss on home court at Burridge Gym.

Leading by two sets on home court, McMaster appeared well in control of their OUA season-opening match against the Ryerson Rams Friday.

They may have taken two different routes to the postseason, but on Saturday, the paths of both the No. 3 McMaster Marauders and No. 6 Queen's Gaels will converge in Hamilton for a quarterfinal matchup.

McMaster and Ryerson last met in a pair of OUA semi-finals won by the Marauders in March.
